THE POSITION:
The Controller will be managing the accounting department that consists of 7
employees. This role will be fully accountable for the corporate accounting and payroll departments. They will also be partnering with the finance and servicing departments.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
8
years accounting management experience
Strong Mortgage Industry experience a must
Expert at accounting and CPA status is a plus
Ability to lead a team of 7+
Focused on process improvements
Strong analytical skills
Expert understanding of GAAP
Bachelor Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; Master's preferred
Five or more related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CPA license is preferred but not required.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Corporate accounting policies and procedures
Managing Accounting Department of 7
employees
Monthly, quarterly and year-end financial results reporting
Corporate insurance policy risk management (Fidelity Bonds / E & O)
Cash and liquidity management
Expense and vendor management oversight / check signing and bill payment
Partner Branch financial reporting
Branch and MA reserve account management
Financial forecast to actual reporting and variance analysis
Payroll and Commissions
Trust Accounting
Managing all the accounting groups
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
