Core Library Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Cupertino, CA.
The Big Picture
- In this role, you will have the opportunity to build the enabling technology our clients applications and partner devices.
What You'll Be Doing:
- You will be responsible for the architecture and implementation of large new features in our client SDK.
- Our ideal applicant has Architected and implemented major software components that are running on millions of consumer electronics devices
- Strives for beautiful software designs that will be extensible and scale across multiple existing platforms and a portfolio of own devices.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science
- Five (5+) years of experience as a software engineer.
- Eye towards developing high performance, robust, and secure code.
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, memory management, concurrency) with demonstrated ability to apply these skills to solve hard real world problems.
- Expert in C+
with strong OO design skills and API design skills
Bonus Points If You Have Experience In One Or More Of The Following Areas:
- Networking: Peer-to-peer and Client Server communication techniques and protocols, Ad-hoc WiFi networking.
- Security: OpenSSL, PKI, application and device security best practices.
- Multimedia: One or more multimedia frameworks, video encoding and streaming formats, DRM systems.
