Apple's Global Business Intelligence (GBI) team is looking for a software engineer having an expertise in the tax & finance domain who has a deep understanding of various products and build a clear vision of how the product will evolve in Apple's Ecosystem! You will be responsible for the end-to-end product life cycle from customer scenarios, product requirements, priorities, and customer reviews, all the way to product/feature evangelism. This will be possible by working closely with our data engineering leaders and architects across the company. Including technical program management, Business Unit leaders, and ecosystem of technology partners to align on joint technology and business integration roadmap.
Apple's Enterprise Data Warehouse landscape caters to a wide variety of real-time, near real-time and batch analytical solutions. These solutions are an integral part of business functions like Sales, Operations, Finance, AppleCare, Marketing and Internet Services, enabling business drivers to make critical decisions. If you enjoy learning new technologies, solving challenges with little mentorship, and are comfortable proposing and implementing solutions, demonstrating Software Engineering standard methodologies, you will find it exciting to work in GBI! The ideal candidate for this position will be able to think outside of the box and should have passion for building engineering solutions to enable business in making time sensitive and critical decisions.
Key Qualifications7
years of experience building enterprise level tax & financial reporting applicationsExperience with enterprise level applications in the areas of corporate & sales taxExperience with different kinds of tax reporting covering state, federal & internationalExperience crafting tax reporting product roadmaps from conception to launch, driving the product vision, defining go-to-market strategy, leading design discussions keeping end-user experience as key focusExpertise in the tax product domain focussing around mix of industries- Knowledge of reporting & analytics concepts primarily focussing on taxation & financeDemonstrate knowledge and experience in Software Engineering processes, including test driven developmentStrong hands-on experience in architecting and implementing end to end tax application covering all lawyers of solutionDescriptionWe engineer high-quality, scalable and resilient tax reporting & analytic systems on cloud that power data exploration, analytics, reporting and production models. Our core systems are diverse and come with an unusual intersection of high data volumes with systems distributed across cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
