The Camera tuning team is searching for highly skilled and innovative engineer who will play a key role in tuning and defining still image quality as well as user behavior for iOS camera products.Key QualificationsMinimum of 2 years experience as an image quality testing, tuning or image processing algorithms engineerUnderstanding and hands-on experience of ISP 3A, de-noising, fusion, tone-mapping algorithmsSome understanding of machine learning and image processing technologiesExcellent sense of photography, videography, cinematographyExperience in research, design and develop automation and tools, metrics and methodologies to improve camera tuning processExperience in at least one of the following:
C, C++, Objective-C, Swift, Python or shell programmingExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in cross-functional collaborationDescriptionOur products have a considerable complexity and rich feature set that push our hardware and software to the edge. We are looking for a great teammate who will be responsible for the image quality tuning of iOS cameras algorithms. This role requires an understanding of different ISP and framework components and their impact on image quality, a clear vision of what constitutes a phenomenal camera, and a strong dedication to drive features into better camera user experience. You will contribute directly to a variety of cutting edging technologies, such as Deep fusion, HDR, Portrait mode, and various algorithm development. You will participate in quality evaluations for new features and algorithms through experimental studies, provide direct feedback to the engineering teams. In this role you'll be a critical part of a fast-paced, collaborative team and who thrive in a high energy, time-constrained, multitasking environment.
Education & ExperienceBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Color Science or equivalent experience

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300.00 and $241,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
